Benitses
One of the oldest traditional villages of Corfu
Benitses is located in the east coast of Corfu, only 12km away from the city center and 9 km away from the "Ioannis Kapodistrias" international airport. It is one of the oldest traditional villages of Corfu, a popular travel destination for greek and foreign visitors. It was the first travel resort of Corfu, the place where tourism begun and was later expanded to the rest of the island.

The shell Museum includes one of the biggest collections of shell and other sea species in Europe. The museum belongs to the diver Napoleon Sagias, who was an immigrant from Australia and traveled from 1970 and for 20 years with his team to the Indian and Pacific Ocean, collecting shells
